Prime Cuts - Beef

USDA Prime is the highest quality of beef. Only about 1-2% of all cattle are classified as prime, based on their fat content. Prime cuts of beef have the most marbling (fat distribution) which melts down into the meat during the cooking process. This fat breakdown makes for a more tender and flavorful steak. 

Choice Cuts - Beef

USDA Choice grade will be given to meat that comes from very young beef with moderate marbling, but not as much marbling as meat that has been graded prime.

Freshly Ground Beef

Our ground beef is ground here in house numerous times throughout the day from whole muscle meat. It has no additives or extras to keep it fresh. Our Ground Chuck is roughly 85% lean (great for burgers) and our Ground Sirloin is 95% lean (great for low fat diets). 

USDA Inspected Pork

Old Time Meat & Deli carries a wide variety of pork products. A majority of our pork products are processed locally in Rantoul, Illinois and cut here in house. Our signature cut is our ILLINI Chop. Similar to a porterhouse, it is a thick-cut Porterhouse, which is a bone-in product that has the loin end and tenderloin end attached to give it extra flavor during the cooking process. 

Hams

Every holiday meal deserves a centerpiece. This holiday season, serve the same ham that the Amish have served for generations. Amish Country Kitchens' lean and tender hard wood smoked ham is a timeless favorite. Fully cooked and ready to eat, our Amish ham is delicious gently heated, served at room temperature, or eaten cold on sandwiches. Perfectly tender with an unforgettable rich flavor, our ham is now also offered in a spiral cut for easy serving. Only the finest, hand-selected hams are chosen to be cured. Try it with our free honey glaze mix, included with every ham. 

Fresh Seafood

We recieve fresh shipments of our seafood on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Our flagship product is Faroe Island Salmon. Considered to be some of the best salmon in the word, we provide close to 100 lbs. a week to our customers, with popularity growing weekly!  Through our Peoria-based seafood partner, Dixon's Fisheries, Inc., we are able to order specific items for our customers.  Call or e-mail us for our featured selection of fresh seafood.

Chicken

At George’s, Inc., their people set the standard by providing consistent quality poultry products worldwide everyday. Their mission is to satisfy customers with consistent quality poultry products and service. The George’s story begins in the late 1920’s. The first George family business in Northwest Arkansas was a general store founded by C.L. George in the Brush Creek area, located just west of Springdale, Arkansas. Later C.L. moved the George family into Springdale and began operating the Farmer’s Produce Company.

Marinated Chicken Breasts

Using the chicken breasts from George’s, our boneless, skinless chicken breasts are placed in a vacuum-sealed bin and tumbled to infuse the flavor of the marinade. Every day, we feature the following marinades: Herb & Garlic, Lemon Pepper, Garlic Butter, Texas Tumbler, Santa Cruz with Lime, Sherrywine Teriyaki, Mesquite, Tomato Basil, and Cajun. 

Free Range Chickens

All of our Amish Country Kitchens Chickens are raised free-range on the great plains of Illinois in the Amish tradition. Great pride and care have been taken in the raising of these chickens. Because all animals deserve to be treated with respect and care, our chickens are raised and handled in a humane manner. By allowing them adequate space to roam, we have created a stress-free environment. Our Amish Country Kitchens Chickens are fed an all-natural vegetarian diet and are never fed antibiotics or growth stimulants. 

Fresh Free Range Turkeys

We are proud of our private label free-range young turkeys. The Amish have a tradition of raising turkeys the natural way – all vegetarian diet, free range and no antibiotics. The result is a fresh turkey like no other. It’s all natural, just like Mother Nature intended. This year, serve the same turkey that the Amish have served for generations. All of our Amish Country Kitchens Fresh Turkeys are raised free-range on the great plains of Illinois in the Amish tradition. Great pride and care have been taken in the raising of these turkeys.

Dutch Valley Sausages and Brats

We are proud to carry Dutch Valley’s Handmade Sausages and Brats! Dutch Valley is a well-known Amish butcher shop located just outside of Arthur. Their product is a fan favorite in our store. In fact, it's so popular that we go through close to 800 brats & sausages a month! With 12 different varieties to choose from, we are sure to have the flavor that will compliment any dish.
